We encourage and support our majors who work toward a double degree, double major, or certificate program. In fact, many of our students have engaged in studies at TCU that – while they did not turn into “official” major or minor credits – paved the way for dance-related careers. The following are directions our graduates have taken, most in addition to performing careers.
Dance Company Directors
Doctor of Osteopathy
Expressive Arts Therapy
Lighting Design for Dance
Museum – Education Programs
Pilates – The largest number of our graduates go into the field of somatics as Pilates certified trainers and teachers. To date, over 40 have moved into Pilates practice.
The Bari Studio
Video Production Company
Yoga certification/Yoga studio owners
Post-baccalaureate degrees and certifications:
The above careers require concurrent degree study or post-baccalaureate certification and degrees. It is noteworthy to mention that a significant number of our graduates have gone on to earn the Secondary Education Certification. Several of our alumni have now graduated with the M.A., M.F.A., Ph.D. or Ed.D.
